About Me
Carl Najdek is a photographer based in the mountains of Western North Carolina. What began as landscape work shifted toward what people had built into those mountains, drawing on his background as a political theorist. That interest now drives his ongoing study of the region's energy infrastructure, featured in the Portfolio above.
Carl teaches high school American history, Government and philosophy in Asheville, NC.
